  • Spider Cage

    Spider Cage

    Spider therapy involves using bungees, of varying strengths, to allow you to practise functional tasks such as standing, walking, sit to stand transitions and more. The equipment we have in clinic is supportive enough to allow you to enjoy the freedom of these movements. Our therapists use the spider cage as a tool to help you develop their strength, balance and co-ordination.

    Kids Therapy Works can offer intensive blocks of Physiotherapy and/or Occupational Therapy over a time frame to meet your needs and requirements. Having an intensive block of therapy really can help you supercharge your progress and may be a much more convenient way to access therapy if you are travelling from a distance.

  • Electrical Stimulation

    Electrical Stimulation

    We use functional electrical stimulation (FES) as a tool to help a you to engage specific muscles. FES has a wide range of uses, such as helping with gross motor development and gait rehabilitation. In addition to this, it may also be used as an aid when developing fine motor skills of the hand.

  • CIMT

    CIMT

    (Constraint Induced Movement Therapy).
    The primary aim of CIMT is to improve bimanual upper limb performance by increasing awareness, strength, dexterity and function of the hand and arm that has been affected by Hemiplegia.
    This is achieved through placing your less affected hand/arm into a cast, allowing more practice to take place on your affected hand.
